On February 18, 2025, Amirsoy Resort became the venue for the First Cup of Turkic States in Skiing among amateurs. The event, established in 2024 by the Union of Ski Resorts of Turkic States under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States, brought together the region’s top resorts in a unified celebration of sports.
Amirsoy Resort, representing Uzbekistan, along with its partner resorts—Shahdag (Azerbaijan), Shymbulak (Kazakhstan), and Uludağ (Turkey)—contributed to the tournament's realization by providing the venue, ensuring a high level of organization, and creating the necessary conditions for the competition.
Winter sports enthusiasts from different age categories, representing the participating countries, competed in the giant slalom discipline—a dynamic and spectacular downhill race featuring sharp turns and checkpoint crossings set along the course.
The tournament winners were awarded valuable prizes, including certificates for free visits to the resorts of the participating countries. Representatives of Uzbekistan secured 12 prize places, including 6 gold medals, while participants from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan won 2 and 1 medals, respectively.
The event attracted widespread attention: its coverage in both national and international media, as well as active discussions on social networks, served as another vivid example of the unity of Turkic nations, bound by shared historical and cultural traditions.
